Tech Against Terrorism Europe (TATE) is a consortium that helps platforms understand and navigate their way through new rules for removing terrorist content online.
At the Barcelona workshop, TATE brings together tech experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss the challenges of countering terrorism online.
The IEMed is hosting the workshop, and there will also be a presentation of the results of the Horizon2020 research project CONNEKT.
The workshop will be split into two different days:
– The first day will include an analysis of the online threat landscape and presentations of the materials and tools produced by TATE to support small and micro platforms.
– The second day will focus on empowering hosting service providers affected by the TCO to take action by providing guidance on how to identify terrorist content, navigate the crafting of a compliant transparency report, leverage the TATE capacity building program, and draw a comparison between the TCO and the Digital Services Act (DSA).
The Tech Against Terrorism Europe project is funded by the European Union Internal Security Fund (ISFP-2021-AG-TCO-101080101).
