Aware of the need to bridge science and policy-making, CONNEKT is co-organising with its sister projects PAVE and PREVEX a joint event on Monday 27 June in Brussels to discuss with EU policy officers the issues tackled by the projects: radicalisation, violent extremism, and prevention in MENA and the Balkan regions.
The event is hosted at the European Parliament by Ernest Urtasun, Member of the European Parliament; Vice-Chair, Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance.
It will be presented by Ernest Urtasun and Roger Albinyana, Managing Director of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), and includes the participation of Morten Bøås, PREVEX’s Scientific Coordinator and
Professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, Norway; Johanna-Maria Hülzer, Junior Project Manager at the Berghof Foundation and member of the PAVE project, and Lurdes Vidal, CONNEKT’s Scientific coordinator and Director of the Arab and Islamic World Department at the IEMed.
