The Centre for Southeast European Studies – CSEES (University of Graz) has published its first cross-regional report on the Study of Radicalisation in the MENA and the Balkans as part of the H2020 project “Contexts of Extremism in MENA and Balkan Societies” (CONNEKT).
The comparative study reveals the different forms of radicalisation present in the two regions, including Islamist groups, far-right groups and foreign fighters in different conflicts.
The research on radicalisation and violent extremism presents numerous open avenues of research which will be explored during this panel, and which will be part of the continuing research of the CONNEKT project.
This discussion will be held on Wednesday 12th May 2021 (6 pm CEST)
Speakers:
Lurdes Vidal, IEMed
